After 20 years of sitting at a computer I realised it was time to do something about it and get active. Tried a few different things... Gym, swimming, running but could never stick anything for long. Did a lot of searching and came across KSW Dunfermline. YouTube'd Kuk Sool Won to death (as all is computer geeks do) and loved the look of it. Decided to give it a go, a free lesson and a dedicated White belt class, had nothing to lose. That was almost 6 months ago and I have loved every minute of it since. The club and all of its members are friendly, welcoming and helpful. I have made a lot of friends and feel much fitter / healthier than I did. I would recommend Kuk Sool Won Dunfermline to anyone. Whether you are seven or seventy, there is a place for you at the club and you will be made to feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door.
I always wanted to try a martial art, but the training environment for some disciplines are so intimidating and really put me off.
I seen that Kuk Sool was different and a family martial art so decided to give it a go.
My apprehension was quickly overcome by the warm welcome I received from the amazing students before my first class, I felt such a part of the team after receiving my uniform on my first day.

Best thing I’ve done! Walked through the doors into a hiit session followed by a thorough introduction to initial moves and breakfalls. It was the humour and welcoming atmosphere that made me return. I’ve never looked back! This dojang is well run with a strong focus on respect, commitment and teamwork. All of which blend into everyday life. Yes, with one exception. Virtual classes don’t have the same social atmosphere as in-person classes, but they provide the same physical and mental benefits as our regular martial arts classes.
All you need is loose, breathable workout clothes. You may want a mat as well, but it’s not a requirement. If you already have a uniform from a regular martial arts class, you can wear it.
Our instructors will provide the same detailed instructions and demonstrations they would in a live class. You’ll be able to follow their instructions to ensure you are mastering each skill you learn.
The classes are available live and for most students, this option offers the ideal experience. However, we recognize that not everybody’s schedule is the same. If you can’t attend the class when it’s happening, we make recordings available, so you can work out on your own schedule.
